The Utrecht Science Park, and the satellite locations in Bilthoven and Zeist, offer various opportunities for organisations and institutions to locate. At the heart of Utrecht Science Park, as from the opening in July 2025, Plus Ultra Utrecht will offer 22,800 m2 lab and office space for startups and scale-ups and mature companies, active in the Life Sciences & Health Sector. In Bilthoven, work is in progress to realise the new building ‘Impetus’ with around 16,000 m2 for life sciences production or R&D companies. Meanwhile, the second satellite location has opened since June 2024; Utrecht Science Park Zeist. This will be home to start-ups as well as growing and mature companies.
Talent
Utrecht Science Park, with its more than 55,000 students, is a huge source of talent. Each year, more than 12,000 new graduates add tremendous value to the regional labour market and thus help create ideal conditions for businesses and institutions in the region. The relatively young and talented workforce is one of the factors that contributed to the Utrecht region being named the most competitive region in Europe. The work placement programmes and challenges that the partners at Utrecht Science Park offer bring students into contact with businesses and institutions. In addition, Utrecht University and HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht organise dedicated ‘lifelong learning’ training courses for those who have already graduated.
Catering & retail
Utrecht Science Park has a varied range of catering establishments and shops, including restaurants, food courts, food trucks, coffee corners, a supermarket, a bicycle repair ship and a hair dresser.
